Banyan Global is seeking entry-level Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) coordinator for a short term consultancy.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis;
    • Provide analytical, research, and writing support to Banyan Global’s Senior Evaluation and Learning Program Officer and a portfolio of USAID-funded programs;
    • Clean data sets and support statistical analysis;
    • Manage the relevant data sets and ensure that they are maintained and made accessible;
    • Support standards of data quality, integrity, precision, validity, reliability and timeliness related to monitoring and evaluation processes, per USAID standards and regulations;
    • Support the design and development of a performance monitoring system;
    • Support collaborating, learning and adapting activities to maximize impact on projects;
    • Write, compile, and/or edit learning reports; and
    • Support other developing MEL plans and processes, as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in international relations, economics, social science or related field.
    • Familiarity with statistics and data analysis, demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience and interest in monitoring, evaluation and learning and international development.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients and consultants.
    • Strong office and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and work within deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
