Banyan Global is an international development consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC with staff working across the globe. Banyan Global operates seamlessly within five practice areas: economic growth, gender, health, youth, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

Banyan Global is recruiting short-term new business development consultants to conduct discrete proposal development tasks tied to specific anticipated USG-funded opportunities. Assignments are expected to range from 5-20 days of LOE between September 2024 – March 2025.

Selected consultants will be added to a new business development surge roster and contacted as new assignments arise.

Types of Tasks:

• Contribute towards, track, and organize selected proposal documents.
• Copyedit and format narrative proposal pieces.
• Perform desk research and prepare relevant materials for internal and external meetings with staff or partners.
• Support proposal development coordination, including setting up, scheduling, and coordinating numerous meetings and conference calls; preparing and distributing the agenda.
• Take meeting minutes as requested and finalize/summarize for distribution.
• Support proposal recruitment efforts including reviewing CVs, shortlisting candidates, and conducting initial screening interviews.

To be successful, you will have:

• Fluent English, strong communication and writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and efficiently provide support and assistance to colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, take initiative, and follow through, with demonstrated ability to work well independently within short deadlines.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
