Overview

Banyan Global is seeking qualified Jordanian communications experts to join a roster of consultants to support ongoing and upcoming assignments under a U.S. State Department-funded activity.

Consultants will provide strategic communications and stakeholder engagement support to government counterparts and implementing partners.

This is a call for expressions of interest to build a pool of experts. Selected candidates will be engaged on a rolling basis as specific scopes of work are defined.

Responsibilities

Consultants may support one or more of the following illustrative activities:

  • Develop communication strategies and action plans, including situation analyses, stakeholder mapping, key messaging, and KPIs
  • Implement strategic communication plans and campaigns
  • Develop messaging frameworks and narratives in Arabic
  • Draft and edit a range of communication products (e.g., social media content, talking points, reports, brochures, presentations)
  • Provide on-the-job training and capacity strengthening in strategic communications
  • Support monitoring and evaluation of communication efforts, including tracking performance and adapting strategies
  • Design visual communication materials (e.g., reports, social media graphics, guidelines, banners, presentations)
  • Produce multimedia content, including video (filming, animation, editing) and photography

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates may demonstrate experience in some or all of the following areas:

  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic communications plans
  • Strong digital communications expertise, including social media strategy and content development
  • Experience working with government entities and supporting public sector communications
  • Ability to translate complex technical or policy information into clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences
  • Experience developing messaging frameworks and tailoring content across formats (e.g., press releases, presentations, reports, social media)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior leadership
  • Experience in crisis communications, media relations, and press engagement (preferred)
  • Familiarity with economic reform agendas or public policy communications (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in strategic communications
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality Arabic-language content; experience with formal Arabic for government communications strongly preferred
  • Good working proficiency in English
