Banyan Global implements the USAID/Malawi Learn to Perform (L2P) activity which seeks to improve the Mission’s performance management, enhance program efficiency, and advance Mission learning.       USAID/Malawi has requested L2P to organize and facilitate assessments of Financial Sector Assessment to be done to all selected partners across the country towards the end of November 2022. Therefore, Banyan Global seeks the services of an experienced consultant Financial Sector Assessment. The Consultant is expected to work closely with the L2P team, the DO3 Strategic Integration Advisor and other USAID staff in designing, planning and implementing a successfulFinancial Sector Assessment. The Consultant will lead all the activities during the Assessment. He/she will be supported by a research assistant (consultant)throughoutthe consultancy, to gather needed technical and other information, and complete other requiredtasks needed by the Consultant to conduct the assessment.  The L2P Team will also handle all the logistical arrangements related to the Financial Sector Assessment andensure that all the materials are made available for the success of the Financial Sector Assessment.

Collectively the team will be seasoned practitioners with deep knowledge of agricultural, nutrition, and natural resources related policies in developing countries and will have expertise in the following areas: project evaluations and assessments, ideally public sector reforms, policy reviews and formulation, organizational change management, and governance.

Banyan Global invites you to submit a proposal to deliver services under this Request for Proposals (RFP) to develop a gender marker for USAID activities. These services will be delivered under the Gender Integration for Technical Assistance II (GITA II) Task Order and will propose a tool to support USAID in assessing the extent to which gender is being intentionally integrated within an activity’s objectives and design. Offerors will propose a tool that incorporates learning from donors and organizations who have applied gender markers and will develop guiding resources to pilot the tool.   Please view the RFP attached for further information and instructions. This USAID-funded activity’s goal is to improve regional energy supply, security, reliability and efficiency through supporting investments in all segments of the energy sector, including heat and power generation facilities, transmission and distribution networks, renewable sources, demand side improvements, and water supply and sanitation infrastructures. GITA II provides on-demand, rapid-response, short-term technical assistance (STTA) to United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Missions and Operating Units across multiple sectors. GITA II applies expertise in gender research and practice to the process of designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating USAID strategies, projects, and activities to reduce the gender and women’s empowerment gaps that impede development outcomes.  An important part of this work is providing MEL advisory services, training, and technical assistance to the USAID Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Hub, GenDev, including supporting the development of indicators and MEL plans, data reviews and analysis, and reporting processes. Banyan Global seeks gender experts in Nigeria to provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to USAID/Nigeria and Implementing Partners (IPs). This consultancy is for a Work Order under the Gender Integration Technical Assistance (GITA) II Task Order. To learn more about Banyan Global’s GITA II Task Order, please visit our website. The gender expert will support USAID/Nigeria to increase gender and inclusive development integration across the sectors of education, economic growth, peace and democratic governance, humanitarian assistance and health. The consultant’s contributions will span across the USAID Program Cycle, with a particular focus on activity design and implementation. The consultancy will develop tools, templates, and processes in line with USAID policies, while also building staff capacity to integrate gender within work plans, activity design, and budgeting. The Work Order is anticipated to take place across 12 months, with consulting assignments ranging from tasks that will require week-long, full-time commitment, to longer-term tasks that will require part-time dedication over multiple months.
